What is Prince's Idealistic view of Freedom in aspect to what he's said about it through his music?

So in essence you're asking how many times has he mentioned being free in a song. And how has he actually lived up to those lyrics.

Nobody truly knows Prince's ideals because he's been so contradicting throughout his career. Either way I don't expect his lyrics to be that telling. As great as Prince his folks seems to forget he's still an entertainer. It's a shame that the bulk of his fanbase still needs a disclaimer in this day and age that states. "These words are just for entertainment purposes and do not necessarily reflect the views of the artist."

but if it makes you happy looking for "deeper meanings" behind trivial shit don't let me stand in your way

Of course JW faith has many views that he has always written about in his songs.
