Get FREEeeeee Yeah!

What is Prince's Idealistic view of Freedom in aspect to what he's said about it through his music?
News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so.
You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

"Through his music"

Lemme run this through my pretentious bullshit decoder and see if there's any real meaning behind this.

So in essence you're asking how many times has he mentioned being free in a song. And how has he actually lived up to those lyrics. neutral

Nobody truly knows Prince's ideals because he's been so contradicting throughout his career. Either way I don't expect his lyrics to be that telling. As great as Prince his folks seems to forget he's still an entertainer. It's a shame that the bulk of his fanbase still needs a disclaimer in this day and age that states. "These words are just for entertainment purposes and do not necessarily reflect the views of the artist."

but if it makes you happy looking for "deeper meanings" behind trivial shit don't let me stand in your way mr.green

Carry on...

And why don't you try typing slowly so you don't spell anything wrong.

Carry on.

I can't help it... part of my job is to sift through rambling bullshit and help folks make their ideas concise. Your threads make for such good bait.

Listen to "One Song".

I only know the dude through his music, but I think he has come to a Metaphysical meaning of freedom.

Of course JW faith has many views that he has always written about in his songs.

Thank God he's not still expressing his ideas of freedom by wearing black thongs and thigh high stockings.

being free to be urself and not b scared of what anyone says and if they are mean to you then u supposed to love them back and if they keep going then u write a song about how u dont mean them any harm but u really wish they'd hurry up and get it and finish off by saying how u aint gunna hang around and deal with B.S. no more!..with love. biggrin

freedom to explore all aspects of ur personality, style, sex, countries, spirituality, music in such a way that is harmless to other people, freedom of mind pushing boundaries you didnt know u had, freedom of heart to love without anyone or anything trying to squash that love, freedom of spirit to never be judgemental cuz when ur free ur really free indeed all u gotta do is just plant the seed! angel
from the abundance of the mind my mouth speaks, teaching the pure heart WISDOM. God chides those whom He loves the most.

Like things he wouldn't want me asking in front of other people. Spiritual story type things.
