Which country has the most loyal fanbase. I´ve always wondered which countries that are considered to be Prince´s hotbeds, where he is biggest? In my country /Sweden" he has got some good sales throughout the years.

Got to factor in idealistic terms and give a definition.
What's a "loyal fan"? News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
Bad News: Prince wasted too much quality time doing so. You have those internalized issues because you want to, you like to, stop.

I'd say United States, West Coast specifically (San Francisco & Los Angeles area).
Somewhere on the Internet is a world map that shows where most of the fans are.

Seems to be big in Japan (isn't everyone?); BL&B was #1 and a song from TRC (She Loves Me 4 Me, perhaps) charted highly too. Not sure about his album sales in Japan though. U been bamboozled, hoodwinked, took.

But let´s say, where does his concerts always sell out, where does he have the best chartpositions, gold-platina. If you want to count sales, you can count some sort of percentage of the population that bought the CD.

I wonder, what kind of reputation does Sweden have among Prince fans. He has been pretty successfull here, and Sweden is one of the countries in Europe where he has made most concerts

I think the answer has to be "The Netherlands". Anyone who has been to Prince shows around Europe will agree with me I'm sure - we are all humbled by the Dutch fans, they really go above and beyond the call of duty

The UK used to be a real strong-hold, but the name-change and crap albums just really wore people down, used to see a lot less people as the 90s went on. A few of them popped up their heads when Musicology and 3121 came out though.
I'd agree re: Sweden. I'm no expect, but I always though Europe and especially the Scandinavian countries were a strong base.

True, it seems whenever Prince goes there he's always been given a HUGE welcome by the fans; whereas, some of us other countries are a bit persnickety and not always very welcoming. Those roads less taken areas in the world are more grateful, I'd say.

I would say Europe because they are the ones that kept him afloat in the late 1980s when he changed his style in 1985. He pissed a lot of fans off here in the U.S. and they dropped his ass like a hotcake. Prince knew it too, that's why he constantly had his ass touring Europe during these years. "Sign O The Times" was not considered the "genius masterpiece" in the U.S. that so many people call it around the org. The low attendance in the U.S. movie theaters proves that. Andy is a four letter word.

I hate 2 admit it but I think it must be The Netherlands.
U could always find a hundred of Dutch fans in front row, even at a concert in Belgium...and 2 days later he played in The Netherlands 4 another 50.000people!! But in Belgium and also France,Uk,Germany he had a strong fanbase. These days however, according 2 the sales of 3121,I think he's fans in Belgium are more loyal. And there's no doubt he still has a lot of fans in the US, 2 my own surprise the Musicology tour was a succes over there. True, and Lovesexy (1988) was as huge in Europe as Purple Rain (1984) was in the States.

Europe is a continent, not a country.

I think England is pretty loyal, and Sweden too, but one country leads by a mile...
The Netherlands. I've seen Prince perform it pretty much every country he has toured or promoted, and the Dutch win by a mile! They are great! .

I'd say as a percentage of the population, it's got to be the Dutch.

You mean a continent has it's own money mint? I thought countries minted money? News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.
