Steven Kings 'IT' Whos watched Steven Kings 'IT', its 1 of my favs. films, i had 2 say its very underated. Penny Wise the clown, (played by Tim Curry) is excellent; scary and strange. For u who don't know bout it, its bout a group a young kids who witness children bein killed in there town, but the cops accept them as nothin controversial. But the children find out its somethin evil and devious, namely a clown who can maniefeist into ur worse nightmare. So only the kids have 2 stop the clown. They trace the clown 2 his hideout and have the impression they have killed him. But many years later, the children murders start again, and now the ones who killed the clown, are grown up and they had made a pact dat if the clown returns they sware they will kill it. Great film. The book's a lot scarier
I would say one of the best King books turned into celuloid is Salem's Lot starring David Soul and the awesome oh God wasisname, that old actor, dead now, um, anyway the first time i saw that it scared the shit outta me especially when the Glick boy sat up in his coffin and bit the semetary guy! Oh what's that guy's name someone please put me out of my misery! Speaking of which, that was another great SK book turned movie. The woman who played the main Annie Wilkes psycho nurse what was her name? She was superb as was wassisname, James Caan.

I can't wait for the Gunslinger movie to come out next year. The trailer is awesome. And the Dream Quest of Unknown Kadath movie is gonna be amazing (i know it's not King, but close enough). Long live independent film! Yeah. Chili Sauce.

The first clown that ever scared me was in Poltergeist--after that, I never looked at a clown the same way again... Me either! And as for the clown in IT... eeek, disturbing much?! One of my friends never quite got over it... IT definitely left it's fair share of psychological scars on him. In other words... don't watch it when you're 6 years old! --ยปYou're my favourite moment, you're my Saturday...

I agree! The book scared me waaayyy more than the mini-series. Although I'd have to say, the scariest Stephen King novel-turned movie would have to be The Shining. I still have nightmares in which those two dead twin girls show up in. Definitely a Stanley Kubrick masterpiece, although it didn't do as much to address the alcolholism as the book... |
