Purple Rain's score was just as good as the soundtrack.. I think it really helped the movie flow nicely.

but it's a true story i tell ya!
when i lived in oregon, we had many a cloudy day
and one of the first things i'd do when i got home from school
would be to play some Prince songs
i had 1999, Purple Rain, and maybe Around the World in a Day by this time
plus most all the 7-inch and 12-inch singles
and EVERY single time i played "God" on a cloudy day... guess what??
the clouds would break open and the sun would shine through
this happened at least 2-dozen times in a row!
i kid ya not
i don't care if no one believes me tho
to me, it's pretty special
after the 3rd or 4th time, it freaked me out
and then i'd start to test it every time it was cloudy
and each time the same thing would happen
the sun would break through the clouds
i can't remember ever playing this song without the same thing happening each time

To be close enough to move on God's frequencies and to bring about words ushering from the consciousness that is God. In that aspect, my statement about the lovesexy albume was truth. That was the point where Prince had climbed the ladder and brushed the underbelly of heaven. Whereby Emancipation, although a very spiritual album, is told from the aspect of Prince's humanity and it's freedom from forces that bind. eMANcipation, is an expression of a man's freedom and lifestyle, and it began, thought not should be percieved as a negitive, a downward slopping away from the reality of god.
