I'm sure you know Prince has always been mysterious, nothing new. That's what keeps most fans interested in him. Anticipating his next move. Hey, if it's over for you fine. I happen to love this last album. That's just it. We all have different tastes. Even if his next album is considered a success you will always find someone who is not pleased with it. Imagine trying to please every single soul. That's not going to happen. I say if you're tired of him, then there's other artists, but I truly don't think it's over for him and that he'll end up like the ones you mentioned. Destruction path? lol , No way. The man does what he wants because he can and will always have fans. Losing a few won't matter, there will be another to take their place.

The man is a living legend and well-respected artist. I don't know any other artist from his time that can still fill a stadium, so sorry, I just don't agree with you.

I'm checking these boards everyday for tour information and when I read these kinds of nasty comments it really makes my heart ache for the man that has devoted his entire life to making music for US!!

Prince doesn't make music for us. he makes mussic for himself that he hopes we will buy. that is completely different than the selfless act you are dishonestly presenting it as.

Whether I like it or not? That has nothing to do with it. It's what you like not what I like. Hey more power to you if you feel Madonna and Mike can fill a stadium, but no one is like Prince, and I wouldn't go across the country to see Madonna or Mike, although I am a Michael Jackson fan as well, but for me, Prince rules, it is what it is baby.
lol (By the way, what's with the CAPS, no need to yell lol , I hear ya loud and clear, chill)

I don't really think who can fill a stadium is important. What matters is what's important to you. Personally I prefer to see Prince in a smaller venue. Even though Musicology was magic, when you're really up close and personal, the music and experience is beyond extraordinary. But again, it depends on what you like.

nobody is saying you cannot say what you want, simply pointing out your lack of logic or your inability to posses it. the fact that you are posting in a lengthy thread on the subject not only disputes your position that nobody cares, but also proves that you do in fact care yourself. if you did not, you would have simply ignored it and moved on. the fact that it filled you with enough emotion that you would expend the energy for your vulgar and adolescently clever tirade shows you care, even in a negative manner.

thanks for playing. here's how your logic looks to the rest of us.

whether you feel Mike or Madonna can fill a stadium or not is irrelevent. it is whether they can or not. this isn't a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact, empirically evident that is either true or not, it has nothing to do with how you feel about them or Prince.

I agree with you about seeing Prince perform in a smaller venue. It is so much better, but I was just letting the other member know that not many performers from his time can still fill stadiums around the world, that is a plus in my opinion. I however, prefer seeing him perform in a smaller venue, as it is so much more personal and quite an experience.

not anymore, he is still odd as ever even more so now who is on career destruction path which can't be stopped and it seems he could give a shit either..

let's face it he hasn't put out a good album since TGE, the music he puts out now is just plain cheesey from lyrics and boring sprinkled with some gems here and there.

it's also he doesn't really care about us..his fans. What he needs to do, take a couple years off, find himself or a really good shrink and get it together, then make a "comeback".At this rate he'll being playing Vegas with Tom Jones and Tony Bennet

WHOOMP THERE IT IS !!!!! lol lol lol

If TGE (released 11 years ago) is the last good album he made in your opinion why then did you become a member of p.org in February of this year?

because one can still be a Prince fan despite not thinking he has released a great album since TGE. congratulations, another extremely illogical correlation.

I asked the initial question, he/she answered with "Cause I can", and flipped me the bird. Ok, well that still doesn't answer the question.

The bottom line is, yeah you can be a fan of all of P's old stuff however, joining a site dedicated to P and then start a thread about how "it's over for me" and going on to whine because P is not putting out music that pleases him/her is extremely close to trolling.

Now if he/she had posted in GD or the Non-Prince forum no one would be questioning his/her motives. Right now he/she looks like a troll looking for attention which he's getting however, he is is fact exibiting all the symptoms of a Battered Prince Fan.

So put that in your illogical bag and puff on it.

why is Prince caring about his fans a huge issue 'roun here anyway? Dig the music, have fun at the concerts, ponder the many "mysteries" of his intentions and directions.....

...and goddamn, get over it already!!! I doubt seriously that he would piss on anyone here if they were on fire....wouldn't know u from a can of paint...and if I'm wrong in saying that (cuz I know some of u have met the man and chilled with him and whatnot) then I apologize....but it just comes off as whining to me.....

I'm feeling you on this. I quess the whole "FAM" thing is ending like it started. I remember the General admission days back in 1981, and seeing Prince perform on-stage to like 3,000 or 4,000 people. No girls screaming, no people pushing- just a real laid-back set.... I personally am looking forward to it..
