u know there was a time when i use to get real excited about P; albums, tours, etc..

not anymore, he is still odd as ever even more so now who is on career destruction path which can't be stopped and it seems he could give a shit either..

let's face it he hasn't put out a good album since TGE, the music he puts out now is just plain cheesey from lyrics and boring sprinkled with some gems here and there.

it's also he doesn't really care about us..his fans. What he needs to do, take a couple years off, find himself or a really good shrink and get it together, then make a "comeback".At this rate he'll being playing Vegas with Tom Jones and Tony Bennet

I'm sure you know Prince has always been mysterious, nothing new. That's what keeps most fans interested in him. Anticipating his next move. Hey, if it's over for you fine. I happen to love this last album. That's just it. We all have different tastes. Even if his next album is considered a success you will always find someone who is not pleased with it. Imagine trying to please every single soul. That's not going to happen. I say if you're tired of him, then there's other artists, but I truly don't think it's over for him and that he'll end up like the ones you mentioned. Destruction path? , No way. The man does what he wants because he can and will always have fans. Losing a few won't matter, there will be another to take their place.

The man is a living legend and well-respected artist. I don't know any other artist from his time that can still fill a stadium, so sorry, I just don't agree with you.

I know how you feel. I went through the same thing after Diamonds and Pearls and after that, I walked away. I came back after Musicology. That concert kind of whipped me back and reminded me why I love his music.

It all depends on what moves you. I'm just a different person right now and sales and hype just don't cut for me. Although his recent CDs are not like his earlier ones (and yes some were very bad), within each CD, there are a few precious "gems" and when you add that to Prince's incredible live shows, it keeps me going. Right now, no-one else moves me that way. So I'm enjoying while I can until I encounter another artist who does the same.
