I think it's a perfect opening for that album actually. Anyone that votes for anything other than jam of the year is a fool. Hey, dammit.....listening with eyes is a difficult skill to master....so BOW to the master.....man, I tell u.... 
JOTY wasn't all that great a song....but it opens emancipation nicely enough...whereas CTP, coming on the heels of having to explain ATWIAD to my fellow Soldiers, left me with the....  look plastered all over my face..
..and no opening had before or since placed that particular look on my face.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

that gets my vote too...but not for the same reasons...i've always felt Eye No was too muddled and cluttered sounding...i havent responded to this thread cause i couldnt think of a really bad opening track... until now. Eye No gets my vote. Space for sale... | |

I'd have to say "The Rainbow Children." I love the album to death, but that one just seemed to drag on to the point where it took forever for that album to grow on me. "Newpower Soul" is pretty bad, too. | |
