No interviews? He must be going back to the old way of avoiding interviews, as a way to seem more mysterious. If you remember, when he did lots of interviews, it didn't actually sell lots of albums. Sure, people want to read the interviews, but that's about it. Most people just don't care much for his new music. He is kinda subverting back to the Purple Rain Prince. Thank you - everything I've ever heard that he's written or been a part of is just incredible..but that's just my opinion. Well, also my kids and their kids have the same opinion also- some of his stuff my Mom even turns up!

No, I think he's just being his usual self and has always been mysterious and private. He doesn't need to do interviews, he speaks through his music. I say that's enough. | |

This pretty much sums it all up. I think I know more about him from many of the lyrics in his songs than from listening to or reading any of the interviews he's ever done. But it's still cool to hear him when he does give interviews. | |

it can be pretty tiresome answering the same questions after 30 years...
and when most people dont get you - whats the point. its lonely sittin there havin an interviewer look at you like you come from planet hooplah when u make perfect sense to yourself its frustrating when they ask questions to which the answers are obvious email interviews r easier but the majoroity of readers still dont get it " the embassy shut to keep the fools out " - as above, so below. | |
