He will retire when God takes the last breath out of his body. Until then he will continue to make music for those of us who love and adore him.

Every time some hater comes in calling other people "fams" and such, I think of that David Letterman skit with the white announcer guy, who puts down some hot television star or show, talks about how "over" it is and how pathetic the whole thing is. Then the camera follows him to his dressing room, where he's got a bunch of paraphernalia and a shrine dedicated to said star/show whereupon he breaks down weeping over how much loves the show.

I think he is doing exactly what he needs and wants to do- his own thing. It's ridiculous for another person to speculate on an artist's ability to continue his/her artform in whatever fashion they choose.

Now I could understand questioning his need to retire if he was still walking around here with assless chaps on However,Prince has matured.

It appears he is more into developing other artists like Tamar than he is into trying to recapture his purple rain (reign) glory.

Just let him do his hot guitar backups like at the BET Awards this year, and leave his black ass alone! He is doing more good than harm to a music industry that is willing to sell anything to the highest bidder (maybe even their very souls)!

I still love and respect Prince as an artist. Anyone who would jeer or ridicule him is either a hater or person who does not appreciate or recognize REAL fuckin' music. Wonder what they had in their iPODs...
