Is "Lilo And Stitch" Jw propaganda? I heard a rumour that Prince actually contributed some incidental music to the Disney flick Lilo And Stitch . Is this true? Apparently, the screen writer is a JW friend of Prince's, and Prince agreed to score some of the film (anonymously) because he thought it sent a message about "the truth" to young people. Is this film pushing the JW agenda?

Me and my kids went to see this movie when it first came out. Only message I got was "family-stays together" as Lilo and her older sister are orphans. Stitch is cute.

I read something about that before... I didn't know if it was true or not. The article said that the "Stitch" character's conversion from a destructive monster to a loving friend was a metaphor for his conversion from his Catholic faith to being a Jehovah's Witness.
The article also said that the Elvis songs were Prince's idea and that Prince was a huge fan of "The King" and wanted to share his love of Elvis as well as his love for the "one true god." ... I heard through my friends' horse's ass that Prince was a "gaffer" for the movie "Home Fries" with Drew Barrymore and that he contributed all the religious references in the movie because he's such a crazed religious fanatic, don'tchaknow?

That would only be true if Stitch was holding a briefcase of some sort.
But really, if Prince was gonna contribute some music to a movie, I hope he gets a chance to do an extra soundtrack for Star Wars Episode III. Imagine the lightsaber duels and the extinction of the Jedi Knights with Prince's gut-wrenching guitar solos in the background. What do you think? John Williams orchestra soundtrack, and a second disc w/Prince music in the last installment of the prequel? That would be something to behold... | |
