Prince's Voice (sounds of soul) I've not listened to Prince Cds for well over two months now. I'm starting to miss the sound of his voice. I guess it is about that time I take the CD out and give a listen.
What is it about Prince's Voice? News: Prince pulls his head out his ass in the last moment.

He's one of the few artists today who does not oversing. (Not including the screaming like on Beautiful Ones, we tend to like that.) I also like the way he harmonizes with the song. [Edited 7/15/06 16:37pm] | |

He sounds sooooo good. It's like he doesn't have to make much of any effort to sing. It just flows out of him. | |

All i have to say to anyone that thinks Prince is not now, never was or not as much is watch Gotta Broken Heart Again from ONA, one of the best performances ever, by anyone, anywhere anytime. | |

What is it about Prince's Voice? I think you should watch one of his concerts (as hes great live)- then get back into those CDs of yours - everyone needs a Prince break now and again - to recharge those batteries

Agreed Aw man, Prince sang his TINY ASS OFF on that tour!!! Didn't he??? I mean, I remember being at that show, and several times saying "dayum, Prince! I knew you could sing but I didn't know you could SAAAAANG!" It was because he wasn't doing any dancing so he had more energy to really sing! He really surprised me, especially on LaLa Means I love U. He sang the HELL outta that song! OOH another example is at the 2002 Celebration. OMG...Prince has sung "Do Me, Baby" countless times in concert, but not like THIS. The way he sang it that night was sooo beautiful....and Also Condition of the Heart too. | |

Prince was also sounding really good on the Musicology tour. Yes Prince can sing and I also like the way he harmonizes on the songs when he adlibs. P is an amazing vocalist when he concentrates and focuses on it and that's what we've heard lately. He blows me away with his vocals on The Word. He is a technician with his voice and no he doesn't oversing. The medley on the ONA live was proof positive the man is a crooner too! | |
