Do you think Prince is a better performer or a better musician? I believe that since he is brilliant at both, then he does not get enough props 4 either. Sometimes when people cannot be pigeon-holed or placed in one paticular category, then often they are not given enough accolades. We always hear of how great a showman Michael Jackson is, or the performer that Mick Jagger is. Both is true, but they are both only given kudos for one area. (And I know Michael is a genius song writer too b4 anyone starts criticizing me). I believe that since Prince is all encompassing, that people are divided as to which compliments to bestow on him, therefore they tend to not make a big enough issue of either, Imagine if Eddie Van Halen had a magnificent voice...do you think they would still give him the same AMOUNT of props for his skillfull guitar playing? Prince is more than the Mozart of our times...he is defintely the most gifted talent to grace our radio's and concert halls in our generation!

Musician of course, the gift he was born with..He is a musical genious...Too bad he cuts himself short! I dont think he even knows how good he is...I think he has an idea but dont give himself enough credit.

He never ceases to amaze me.

The problem is that they give too much dam* credit to these 'artists' who are just 'performers'. I don't even call them artists. Artists of what? When they have all that back up making them up? Please.

Prince is a musician and a performer, so they don't even compare to him. They don't even know where to place him, but we do.

I think THE PRINCE is great at both. he was a better performer in the early days, because he danced more etc. than he does now. so now he's a better musician in my eyes.
