What kind of pet do you have? And how does your pet enrich your life?
We've read that Prince has a cat named Paisley that is the CEO of his company , so now it's our turn to share. ~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh, I guess I should start. I have a cat and she gets me up in the morning to make her breakfast (she's a little spoiled) and at night she keeps my feet warm.

I'm sorry about your dog Supernova. I can relate to how you feel. My other cat (Lance) was almost 15 years old when he went away. Just disappeared. I think he didn't want me to see him pass away. He took better care of me than I did of him. He used to wait on the corner for me until I got out of classes and then he would walk with me the rest of the way to the apartment. He was really a great cat! The cat I have now, she is only about 5 and she can't see very well. So she needs me and I need to be needed so it works out well. ~~~~~~~~~~~

I had a kitten named Mulatto not too long ago. I normally don't like cats, but he was beautiful -- unique design of black & white long hair and big bluish-green eyes. He was the coolest thing -- came when called, was always very sweet, and seemed to sense all my emotions. Somehow, he put life's daily trials in perspective for me. He was totally mellow. And then one day, he disappeared. I think he went outside (which he rarely did) and someone stole him. He was really the only pet I ever had that was totally mine.

I have a dog, he's 12 years old on August 27th. He's a crossbreed between Tervueren, German Shepherd and Border Collie, and he is my best friend. I've had him since he was a puppy, I picked him up November 4th 1990 I'll never forget it.
I also have two cats, one short haired cross breed and one Holy Cat of Birma. The Holy one rules this flat, it's his Kingdom. He loves riding in cars, he'll sit in the back window and gaze outside.

I have an Arabian mare named "Lady Saville".
Savvy for short. She just had leg surgery and is back in pasture with her friends being fat and lazy in the hot summer. Then there is "Tiger" (I didnt name her). She moved in when she was 11, she's now about 17. She is nothing short of AMAZING. Taking in an old cat has been one of the greatest gifts. She shows me her appreciation of the life I have given her everyday. And finally there is "Dudley", a toddler with wings... A 4 mos. old Cockatiel who requires more attention However he makes me laugh when he isnt chewing on me...

That's horrible. You should buy another cage and keep the two apart. If the babies aren't sold, do you even know what happens to them? And what pet store will even accept them in the first place? I mean, like, where is the sun?

Sorry u miss your dog. What happened??? I had a dog named Candy. She was a part Springer Spaniel/Border Collie. She had to be sheared in summer time as her hair matted and pulled on her skin. She lived to be 16. She had to be put to sleep in the end because she was ill and also her age. I miss her - I still have pics of her. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! I take them back to the same pet store I bought them from. Prior to purchasing them I knew the inevitable. The pet store agreed to take babes when old enough. So every so often I drop them off at the pet store. I give them for free. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! In early June, I bought a sub-adult male ball python. He's 2 1/2 years old, 4 1/2 feet in length.
He'll be full grown at 5 feet by this time next year. I named him Prince. But I think it sounds too "famish" and so I'm rethinking a name. -------

Wow. It takes the wind out of my sails when I hear/see certain things: sick babies, sick ANYBODY really, and sick pets. It's the main drawback of having a pet for a long time too, because you know they usually won't be around as long as you. Anywho, it's not something I'm really grieving over, because this was about 21 or 22 years ago when I was a kid. Although I still miss having a dog (I never got another one after that). We had a German Shepherd named "Penny". A thunderstorm, and anything that sounded like gunshots or firecrackers were the only things that could scare Penny. When there were really intense thunderstorms during the Winter she'd get scared and scratch on the back door so my mother would let her in the house. She'd always let her in, no matter what. So the last time, I can't remember if I even heard her scratching the door or not, like I said, it's been about 21 or 22 years (later on I asked my mother if she heard her - she didn't). I can't remember all the details. But I'm sure my mother would have let her in had she heard her, it was standard procedure in at our house. So the next day she's nowhere to be found. We don't know where she went, or exactly when she took off. There was no trace of her anywhere. She never came back. Had something not happened to her, she would have found her way back home, because she was mature enough to always know how to get back home when she'd leave previously. I was just a kid at that time. If I had watched her suffer and die as she got older I would have been worse off, I'm sure. If memory serves me, we had her for maybe 6, no more than 7 years, and we had her since she was a puppy. But since she disappeared without a trace, I miss her more than I really grieve for her, because I don't know for a fact what happened to her, I just know she took off because she was scared of that thunderstorm. Me not having any details is probably a good thing. When I get married I'm sure I'll eventually get another German Shepherd (they're my favorite dogs - and my family had a different one even before Penny). Anyway, thanks for asking you guys.
