I first purchased this on VHS when it originally came out and funnily enough only watched it the other day (PRINCE at his best)!
Gett Off (Awesome) Cream (ditto) Diamonds and Pearls (Beautiful) Call The Law (OK) Willing and Able (Electrifying slightly extended studio version) Insatiable (Fantastic but Cut) Strollin' (Good but Cut poor old Levi) Money Don't Matter 2 Night (Cool) Thunder (Short) Dr. Feelgood (Ditto) Jughead (Cut) Live 4 Love (Good) Worth it for the studio version of Willing and Able alone but I pretty sure there is some lip syncing in there. I wonder if they will tinker with the DVD release? Oh and what about the other VHS releases Gett Off (MAXI), The Sacrifice of Victor, The Undertaker, 3 Chains of Gold, Prince & the Revolution (Channel 5), Lovesexy 1 & 2 (Granada), The Beautiful experience, I am pretty sure these are still owed a DVD release!!! I was chatting to someone who works at the PR for this today. There's no plans to do the others yet...
Warners pretty much own Rhino; Rhino do a lot of their catalogue (like the Ultimate 2-CD as well). I don't think Universal would get a look in, whatever they wanted. | |
