I really love the Prince and prince-associated tracks which combine (sampled) orchestra, with hard, electronic beats. Tracks like:
- The Future
- Mia Bocca (Jill Jones)
- The screams of passion (the Family)
I dig how those rich, acoustic orchestrations contrast with the hard, rude beats.

It seems to me Prince has a musical style here, that he invented himselve. I mean, on most of his other tracks you can here the influence of other artists, like James Brown, Sly and George Clinton (on most of his funk tracks), the Beatles (on songs like Raspberry Beret and Starfish Coffee) or Joni Mitchell (Sometimes it snows in april). But i never heard of any artists before him trying out to mix of orchestra and hard beats.
Later on artists like Bjork (Homogenic) and Massive Attack (unfinished sympathy) has produced this kind of music, but i dont know any artist before Prince who tried this amalgam.

Any one of you know who might have inspired him in creating this style of music?

Vangelis and Jean Michel Jarre (don't know if he used a real orchestra)

What about disco and electronic producers like Giorgio Moroder?
