I liked "I Wanna Be Your Lover", "Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad", and "Uptown" enough to buy the 45s. When I heard "Head" on the radio and had to buy the "Dirty Mind" album to get it, I loved all the songs on the album. Then, I went back and bought the "Prince" album.

I never knew the "For You" album existed until a DJ played a Prince double play..."Controversy" followed by "Soft and Wet". I went that same afternoon and bought the "For You" album. This was during the time that the "Controversy" 45 was out but the album wasn't. I bought the "Controversy" album within the week of it's release and have been doing the same ever since.

The piano work on "still waiting" is great, especially near the end of the song, a shame it fades out right at that moment.

And also some of the most smoothest background vocals he ever did.
