I would say idolatry of a biblical reference is more suitable because it is based on a religious faith vs. liking a musician. I'm not a biblical person at all but I could see the rational behind it for somebody that was. It seems as if your evaluating based on the "oddness" of some of the names in today's society (such as Moses). There are many more "normal" dames that are still biblical...John, Matt, Joseph, etc. Na, I just chose those ones because they seemed more drastic. I was loading my statement to make myself seem more right. I'm biblically named, and I have a perfectly normal name as do all of my siblings. My point was that someone shouldn't be upity and thumbing their nose at people who want to name their kids after Prince. You could name your kid many Prince related things and most people would never even realise where you got it. I was just pointing out the opposite of the original statement. | |
