The solo in purple rain at the final Parade tour concert.. you know the one where he apparently broke the strings? Wonderful stuff .

Too hard to name, but two at the top are 1997 Jam of the Year concert and the solo on "If God was One of Us"; even the first note he struck brought on the goose bumps!!! The others ever time Purple Rain was played in Dallas:

I just love the Purple Rain solo on the live Lovesexy video. Man, Prince makes the Cloud wail! I can listen to that all day.

Well my fave was during Gold at Wembley Arena in 1995. Still get goosebumps thinking about it now. It was the first time I had ever heard Gold.

Second favourite was during She's Always In My Hair at Wembley Stadium in 1993. Closely followed by (not strictly a solo) Sometimes It Snows In April, same gig, awsome scratchy guitar riffing (is that the correct term?).

Oh well, nobody mentioned "Motherless Child" from the Septimo TV Show in Spain (1999). That is indeed a killer...
