Prince's funkiest beat is OR Sheila E's Sexual Suicide work or Morris Day's drumming on Tricky/Cloreen Baconskin/Soul Psychedelicide.
I opt for the last one, as Prince used it again and again and the beat spawned so many classics, as explained in the Crystal Ball liner notes of Cloreen Baconskin. You also might want to include the beat that made him famous; When Doves Cry computer drums... |
