Not satisfied with both the 3 cd-set and The Very Best of Prince i am imagening a 2 CD-set with 15 tracks on both disks that might do justice to Princes music.

I am thinking about a collection of 'hits' and fan-favorites / key tracks that will please both long-time Prince fans and 'newbies'. To keep it fluent soundwise i go for a chronological order of tracks. Heres my pick:

Disc 1: 1978 - 1987

1. I wanna be your lover
2. When you were Mine
3. Controversy
4. 1999
5. Little Red Corvette
6. Erotic City
7. Lets go crazy
8. When Doves cry
9. Purple Rain
10. Raspberry Beret
11. Kiss

Well, i try to made a sellable compilation: 3 CD sets usually dont sell very good, of course with the length of 2 cd's you have to exclude certain singles and fan-favorites, but thats part of the challenge, i think.

We can't have everything, but I think some songs like Sexy Dancer, Let's Work, Glam Slam, I wish U heaven, MOUNTAINS, songs between Come and 3121 (you have a few) need to be on there.

These cds are usually made for novices and casual fans right? If that's so Come, Glam Slam, Mountains, etc. shouldn't be on the album. Riverpoet's version is pretty good but I doubt My Name is Prince would make it-- at least I hope not.
