THANKING PRINCE

Hi,

I am a Michael Jackson fan who just wants to give a shot out to Prince for the respectful way he has treated Michael when so many disc jockeys and people have tried to get him to join in the bashing and he has not. That shows how much he has grown and what character he has that he is not joining in to bash his former music rival. He called Michael a genuis on one show and totally thwarted the efforts of the dj's to get him to talk bad about Michael. In this day when everybody and their momma uses Michael for their whipping boy, that's no small thing.

Also I went to Musicology and it was slamming! Had a great time! If he performs this way again, chances are I'll be there.

Thannks for letting me say that.

Michael was never a rival for Prince. MJ couldn't hold Prince's
pee cup when it comes to musicianship (although he would like to try)

Whipping Boy!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Call me crazy but personally I like Micheal Jackson also... of course he would never rank as high as PRINCE, he was a good musician. I do not agree with all the stuff that Micheal has "done", but he was a very good musician. Just because Prince refused to appear in the "Bad" video gives no reason for Prince to "bash" Micheal... besides, the bigger man always walks away!
Love ya Prince!

We must remember that the media always adds juice to things that aren't even real issues. I believe it was the media that started this rivalry hype. Both Michael and Prince are awesome entertainers -- just different styles and approaches to music (Prince more of an all-around musician; Michael more of a lyricist).

"Always a class act"? "Put her on the same diet Missy went on, you know she eat too much tonight." I'm not so sure.

now you are just the best example I have ever seen of delusion. Prince a class act? the one thing you cannot debate about Prince is that he has been a royal ass.

Uhmm, yeah, he's also sung "There are no kings on this earth, only princes and princesses" which many regard as a dig to MJs 'King of Pop' moniker, and also "My voice is gettin' higher and I ain't never had my nose done!" which many took to be a dig at MJ too.

Nah, I'm sure it's all in fun, Prince has recently been playing 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' in concert, it would be cool if MJ started performing one or 2 Prince songs in return, that is if he was touring or even making music right now.

One thing they both have in common - they are both being sued right now!

OH HELL NO!!! I think that you are the one that's delusional and you need to find someone else to hate on because me and P aren't having it chair. Why can't MJ fans and other Prince fans for that matter agree that both of these gentlemen are talented and have contributed so much to musical history and let it go. As for asses you take that cake rolleyes dumbass.

I agree. Please not another MJ vs Prince thread. I also appreciate the way Prince has not join the dissing game. Both Prince and MJ are two great artist who inspired the world.

Hang on. No one in here seems to be setting this up as Prince V Michael thread. Someone said Prince was being a gentleman about the whole situation and a couple of people have stated that, in actual fact, Prince is not THAT gentlemanly. Beyond that, no one has said anything against Mr Jackson.
