He has such an innocent face there, but he still acted like a badass. "Life is just a game, we're all just the same..."

Yes!! The GREATNESS -- although it literally took me over 1 1/2 hours to completely watch the video without all of the pauses. Oh, but of course it was well worth it.
I first saw this video during a rerun of this show during the summer (June) of 1980. I was about to turn 10. The moment I saw Prince it was love at first sight (although I was hooked on his music before I ever saw him). It's amazing how he has changed over the course of 20 years. He was sooooo irresitibly cute and sooooo incredibly shy. I guess when I was 10 I didn't take notice of this. What 10 year old does, right? But anyways ... with time he did mature in a lot of areas -- like giving interviews and (definitely) dancing. I think he danced the way he did to cover up the fact that he was so incredibly shy, nervous, or both. But even then it was a grand performance. Simply unforgettable!!!

Like all the best Divas, lying about his age... 19, my ass... he was 20/21 when Prince came out. Oh, how he likes to feed myths.
What a fantastic performance: a mixture of Gary Glitter and Mick Jagger, superb.
