I like Brand New Orleans. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Both those songs are good. Put 'em next to "Get on the Boat" and all three sound better.

I like this song so much, as well as Brand New Orleans.
together, they could have replaced "Incense & Candles" on the new album imo. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Arent they the same song just split in 2.... Around the 2:40..part of SST....Is where BNO starts and then fades away And on beginig of BNO...it sounds like the thunder & keys intro.were added in.. To what sounds like the fade in/out track of SST.. But yes i do like them....but i like SST Better Edit 1 more thin either im slow or dont remember,but what does SST stand for [Edited 7/7/06 3:10am]

S.S.T. = Sade's Sweetest Taboo
"S.S.T." includes some preachy-type lyrics, fades out before it gets funky "Brand New Orleans" doesn't, and it gets much funkier than "S.S.T." yeah, they're pretty much the same song but you'll find people around here who like one much better than the other

I like that way. It's like a reprise. Funky (germish)

Thanks.. i heard him say it in the song...but wasnt sure about the SADE'S part..so i never put it together The email that went out from NPGMC when the song was released mentioned that Prince was previously listening to Sweetest Taboo and thus inspired to record the new tune. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I got mine at WalMart! Yeah. Walmart is the only retail store that I have seen carry it. Otherwise, it's available online at Amazon.com, etc. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Simply bought it at the recordstore (ok wreckastow) here in Holland (The Netherlands)
Strange that it's not available widely then in the US Nice catchy song

I'm gonna get creamed. This is the first negative comment on this thread.
I have heard it twice. Once when it came out and last week. I remembered why grande time had passed between listens. It stinks. If it's suppossed to be inspiring - it's not. Found it very boring. I absolutly love Prince's extended jams and instrumentals. I could listen to him riff all day. Mind you I'm from New Orleans but "Brand N.O." was complete boredom. It reminded of the 21 minute version of America that just went on and on and on.....with barely any musical change. "2 Nigs United 4 West Compton" is a JAM! All right, Everybody HOLLA!
