Help me remember I once saw this show prince put on, on TV
all I remember is Mayte was dancing on round stage and he pulled up in his car through the audience with his yellow BMW. Do I remember right? What preformance was that? If I did see this tell me again About it. We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not. | |

as I recall, this was ABC's RYDE DIVINE. A Friday/Saturday special back in 92/93ish. I remember Prince gave out a copy of this on videotape at the GLAM SLAM WEST one night, gift wrapped and everything.
It is an odd but cool special. The funniest thing is that Prince is seen throughout the special on the side of the stage and then he is shown arriving in his yellow car. Bad continuity, good music. As I recall, the music involved Prince, Mavis, Rosie and the Crayons. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. Dayum. Iz just occured 2 me that Ive never seen any good TV shows with Prince in 'em. The only 1 Ive seen was The Beautiful Experience...but we ditched that tape long ago and I cant remember it anymore.
