Hmmmm, well, maybe he was going for the "Little Bo Pimp" effect.

Damn that, I liked the almost hot pants and silletto heeled thigh-high boots. Now that Bob George getup and that gawd awful Vesace pic with the gold disco top need to be in the same ugly outfit bin with that cloud suit and those green and black striped pajamas. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here's one from the Act I & Act II period that is not as famous as the yellow pants camel toe picture.
I liked all his Zoro-the-gay-blade outfits back then though. They were kind of cool.

Imago said: Sure, history will probably mark him down for the buttless pants, or even the pre-Purple Rain bikini/leg warmer ensemble, as being his worst fashion mishaps, but let’s face it—Prince is one daring motherfucker when it comes to fashion!
If any other black man in the music business dared wear high heels, silky clothes, relaxed permed hair, drag queen makeup, and gold chains around his hips, there would be no doubt in anybody’s mind that he was a little light on his feet. But that’s the beauty of Prince. He transcends stereotypes, making male and female work together to create his persona. He in fact, mastered androgyny in ways that Michael Jackson, Madonna, and even David Bowie could only aspire towards. But Prince is not without mistakes. Very regrettable ones. Namely, some of the fashions he wore during his LoveSexy period. Here are a few quick examples: Little Red Corvette, My ass motherfucker! Try "Little Bo Peep" What is this? I mean, *WHAT* is it? Oh, but it gets worse, he turns around to reveal blousing straps/garters dangling by his ass cheeks. I'm sorry, but it just doesn't work for a man fronting a band playing kickass guitar. Next, without skipping a beat, Prince performs Bob George in this nasty little outfit. I believe the theme here was "pimp", but it really comes off kind of like when little Susie raids her grandmom's closet and plays dressup with the tacky polyester/rhinestone shirts and fake pearls. Also notice that while he's "slapping yo ass into the middle of next week" becuase he's such a "pimp", that he has a polka dotted bow in the back of his head. I loved his androgenous period, but sometimes, he just kind of...fucked up. haha doesnt he kinda skip/prance around the stage while doing that bob george voice to? / "ill slap yo ass into the middle of next week.....!" "LOLz!....." . . [Edited 7/6/06 0:37am]

Christopher said: "LOLz!....." . . [Edited 7/6/06 0:37am] You know, Prince is like the cool kid that just so happens to make a few fashion mistakes. MJ and Eddie are like the nerdy kids who are trying their hardest to be cool, but they come of as total dorks...and a bit creepy
