If I had a daughter and she was an adult-it would be her decision not mine's . As a parent, I would only guide her and be there for her (because as Prince's track record has shown) she may need it.[Edited 7/1/06 15:43pm] | |

that'd be a weird situation...there's your daughter, going out with prince...then all her little friends would stop by yer house all the time:
*knockknockknock* (mom opens the door) mrs. jones: oh, hi susie! 
susie: hi, mrs. jones...is patsy around?
mrs. jones: no, i'm sorry...she's out on a date with prince right now. 
susie (disappointed): awww, man! that's like the 3rd time this week i've tried to come over here and she's out with prince... 
mrs. jones: yeah...patsy is such a lucky girl, y'know. from what she tells me he's an absolute sweetheart. susie: yeah, she tells me that too. mrs. jones: he's much better than that...that michael jackson guy she used to go out with. he was a bit of a creep--and dont'cha know that he had this ugly little pet chimpanzee that peed all over my new couch? susie (surprised): really? 
mrs. jones: yeah...the fucker still owes me for the upholstery cleaning bill, too! 
susie: oh gawd! well, i'm gonna go ahead and go, mrs. jones. just let susie know that i stopped by and tell her to call me! i might be back later on--
mrs. jones (interrupting): mmmm, that might not be a good idea for tonight, susie. susie (confused): oh? 
mrs. jones: yeah, i've got a bit of a plan for tonight...(leaning over towards susie a bit) i'm planning on seducing prince tonight when he and patsy get home. 
susie (genuinely surprised): what?!...why mrs. jones, that's horrible! you're gonna try and ruin their relationship?! 
mrs. jones: oh c'mon...like YOU haven't thought about doing the same thing. that boy is f-i-n-e, and mr. jones just ain't cuttin it anymore. susie: well... mrs. jones: i'll let ya tap that ass.

When a woman is of the age of consent (considered an adult in the eyes of the law) then she is mature enough to make adult decisions about whom she dates.
