At the very beginning of Kiss I always have to do his "OH!" with my hands in the air and my hips doing a little swing at the sound right after the guitar. I would do this EVERY TIME when Kiss is played. Even in the department store (which actually just happened to me a week ago).

Somebody gave me a weird look.

When I first read this thread, I had a WONDERFUL random Prince thought. It slipped my mind before I got a chance to post it.





It was a good one to.

I've noticed that I love more than most the pictures of Prince where he is dressed in black.

I watched Purple Rain last night till like two thirty in the morning (plus commentary about empty brain cells for rent, and many other things during the movie...y'all shoulda heard it ), then this morning watched the last of that VH1 Classic countdown for the best soundtracks. Was disappointed that "Rocky Horror Picture Show" beat Purple Rain to the first spot.

I can still make myself come listening to certain P songs like Do me Baby, International Lover, Question of you and Violet the organ grinder :(Gett Off)

I find it quite perplexing that Prince has not been parodied on South Park.


Furthermore, I'm also perplexed as to why Tom Cruise has not recruited him for Scientology. The whole thetan/alien/deprogramming philosophy is SOOO Prince.

whenever I am listening to the 'For You' album - when 'Baby' comes on I have to find my boyfriend and grab hold of him and mime the song to him - word for word - overdramatising every line - hands all expressionate and waving around - dont ask me why - I just do.....(It also tends to happen when Im drunk as well)

The night when Prince was on AI, I was bitching SUPER hard to my kid that AI sucks and I don't know why she watches it, then I hard the first few notes to Lolita, I walked to the tv without saying anything, and hug the bitch.

my daughter laughed all on the floor....(I've told this one before)



People at work always reference to Prince because I have a pic of him at my desk. I always have to remind them that they came to my desk for something other than to talk about prince.



When I hear the song "319", it reminds me of when I had an ext at work that was 319 and I would wanna answer the phone as if I was the NPG Operator.


Seeing any pic of prince during the Controversy years makes think very bad sexual thoughts of him. Like he will just smut you out and never call again and I like it

I was soooo excited this past February when I went to Europe and I got to listen to ALEXA DE PARIS on my IPOD as I was entering the Paris train station.....a dream come true.

Quite some years ago, I was eager to own one of those silver symbols ( not this but the original simple one) Since there was no way to get one, I picked a Prince pic where it appeared, went to my uncle's watchmaker's and asked him to please make one for me.

He made a pretty cool silver one, that I proudly hung from my wristlet ...!!!!!


...unfortunately, as it was hanging down "freely", it took the irritating tendency to get caught on all my jerseys and shirts

I didn't care about that then, and let it hunging there for many years, but all my clothing from that time ended up plenty of holes

When I was in the tenth grade, we were supposed to memorize and recite a sonnet. I asked the teacher what a sonnet was and she said it was a 14 line poem. I recited "1999".
