because nobody of the kids knows him..

Sorry, but U're wrong. There are plenty of 16 year olds out there that dig his music. There are new fans everyday. Not just in the U.S. .He's popular in arabic countries like the U.A.E. ( yeah, TMBGITW is still on rotation on MTV Arabia!) and even in China you get his records and younger people know him.

I thought that his christians beliefs may hurt his virtual popularity in arabic countries..., P,tour in Africa & Asia!

They seem to be tolerant about it (over 50% immigrants after all), but it's surely not with islamic traditions. You know, all of the women are completely covered up, many wearing the burka (only display their eyes).
I've always wondered how you can drive a car like that.

Anyway, the girls in their video clips are shakin' what their mamas gave'em like anybody.

The women who wear the burka are only living in the Arabic Gulf and Yemen. But other countries like Egypt, Lebanon, Morroco, Syria, Jordan wear less covered clothes and they are less strict than the Arabic Gulf contries. But you know, these Arabic women are the FINEST!

BTW,,R U Arabic?? smile

hey redfeathers:
easy there....
No reason to be acting like a real
shit-head now is there?
You can make your point without being an
asshole about it can't you?
I don't think isi was out to cause you
any harm there.
right?
Anything wrong with discussing Prince here?
OK.
I think prince is a legend for sure,
but I get the feeling that nobody (in the
general public, not us Prince-nuts)
really cares about him anymore.
Yeah, he gets respect for being talented,
& ppl remember & dig his hits from the past,
but at the end of the day, I think the public
views him as "old news".
Madonna still has ppl by the balls.
Ppl LOVE Madonna.
I know that her music pales in comparison
to Prince's, but she gives 'em what they want
and so it works. Prince still takes chances
sonically and that totally throws ppl off.
Everyone knows that Madonna just had an album
out. Go ask the guy on the street what was
the last Prince album.
U2 had a big hit with thier last album and
it is WAY less creative than TRC.
Look at what a great piece of work TRC is, and
because it contains all of that whack shit
about god, & the bible & he chose to use
the computer altered voice all over it,
it was IGNORED.
I realise that a lot of it has to do with
the fact that Prince does not play the mainstream
game anymore and these days you need that to get
your shit out to ppl, but I don't have a
problem with him being hitless as long as he
keeps giving us music.
I guess it would be fun if he was topping the
charts again & had everyone talking about him,
but I am satisfied getting a great album like
TRC without it being a "hit".
Frank Zappa never had hits and he was one
talented mutha fucka!!

I think He is gonna be alright.as long as Pop Culture Matters "Purple Rain" Alone will keep Him there Forever.I think some folks will dig Him coming along now&some won't bother.Artists with a Catelog like His will always have something for someone.

Hello Chewy,

Yeah I'm an asshole, I was going to edit it, but I promised 2the9's never to edit again, and when I looked at isi's profile she's not that new, so I thought what the fuck. I hope she isn't too offended with my anger but I thought better to let my anger out on the Org than on my puppy! (Again!)

This "idol" concept is crap. I wouldn't want my kids to idolize anyone. Dig a song of his? Yeah, they do.
My multi-racial brood thinks the opening theme, "Rainbow Children" is specfically about them. So now they know what Prince sounds like. Prince popped up on the AK cover of HCUDCMA and BS clone of "SLAVE 4 U" (or whatever it's called).
