It makes you feel blue and down. An absolute nightmare of a song IMO. I dont think i have ever listened to all of it. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

I have said it before and I'll say it again...SOLO is a beautiful song. I used to hate it. It is one of those songs you need to be in the right space for. When I "got it" I was in the desert and it was quiet. A friend of mine put that song on very unexpectedly. I just sat and listened and just looked out at the expanse and flatness of the desert....and "got it". It's absolutely stunning!
Not saying you need to be in the desert to appreciate that song, but it is best played when alone and thoughtful in a place where outside noises can't get to it. Christian Zombie Vampires | |

This song demands a certain quiet tone and mindset. That's how i got it as well. It was raining one summer afternoon. I was in my house, totally bored and listeing to the CD. no TV, no brothers or sisters around, just watching the rain hit the window. Just hearing the thunder. I got all mellow and chill, then the song gcame on. I listened to it completely unfiltered by any other influences. All my senses went to the song and it just made sense. I had a similar experience, but it was at my parents' remote beach house not too far from Panama City, FL on a moonless night far away from the city lights. The ocean was calm, the sky was lit up with stars and I listened to Come with my portable CD player and head phones while perched atop a sand dune overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. Solo was fantastic! Oh yeah...and I was tripping my balls off!!!! ..... Just say "NO" to cow mucus consumption! | |

I really think this song speaks to the deep soul of a prince fan. It is certainly odd in some way, but very colorful and emotional. I had one of those just waking up dreams where I was standing in a field at night and wathcing a meteor shower and hearing Solo ring threw the hills. It was very cool. | |
