Is this thread a joke? Parade is so much better on multiple levels (songwriting, lyricism, complex arrangements, concept, artistry, risk-taking, musicianship, cover art and concerts). Anotherloverholenyohead is one of the greatest funk songs ever written and "Kiss", "Girls and Boys", "Sometimes it Snows in April" are modern day classics. I truly believe that this album belongs in any list of great rock era albums. It is Prince at his challenging, expansive and creative peak. It is the true definition of "artfunk." People always pray for another PR but my life would be complete if he would create an album with the same elements of Parade.

3121 is an enjoyable album that has its moments but get real.

so the game has really gotten out of hand. it seems all you need to do is find 2 prince albums with the same number of tracks - and you've got a Vs game on.

this is interesting for a while - and in fact some of the comparisons were inspired (i'm thinking of 'dirty mind' Vs 'the black album') - but now it's just SILLY!

3121 Vs Parade? don't think so. there's no good reason to compare these 2 albums. same as ATWIAD Vs Batman. in fact, if you want a REALLY good comparsion, do ATWIAD Vs lovesexy - in terms of content and theme.
