I hated "SST" but I love "Brand New Orleans".

Brand New Orleans is some of Prince's best funk jamming in YEARS! I'm so happy I bought the CD single!!

I think the best thing is this unfortunately way too short moment right before the harder snare comes in at the end of SST. Those deep keyboard riffs are funky!

Cool stuff.

Sheer crap. This is the only Prince CD that I can say I hate.

SST was a cool song, different in that it sounded very "spur of the moment" and fresh - It's nothing mindblowing, but a lot of fun to listen to every now and again.

I'll stick to the facts:

I've played it about ten times total since I bought it.

I think the story of how he recorded it in a day is more interesting than the song itself.

Still, I like it.
