that is the song that immediately popped up in my head.

"It's Gonna Be A Beautiful Night" even though it is a shared effort. Everything's just there and the whole thing with the melodic and rhythmic motives is just utterly out of this world. It's like Rio, but it's you know... a detuned Oberheim somewhere at Uptown.
I'm on drugs at the moment, by the way.

Another song to add that reflects Prince's genius???
'7'. Can't forget this one. Most people who listen to this for the first time 'feel it'. [This message was edited Thu Aug 1 8:00:37 PDT 2002 by Starmist7]

Good choice Starmist.
I would say. Little Red Corvette Purple Rain She Gave Her Angels "...because no-one gets there alone." - "...I like the floor. It's the only thing that seems real."

I always try to exhibit the style of Prince music that the new person is usually accustomed to...this makes them more receptive and more likely to appreciate him.

O.K, one more I'd add:
'Soft and Wet'. But I also agree with orgimnd that it depends on the person’s particular taste of music, and the person you're trying to relate Prince's music to. But usually, songs like ‘Soft and Wet’ could get anybody moving!

--who can sing about chewing nachos without sounding goofy but prince? I do hope you're joking! Chew a Nacho! That's good! Yes, i was kidding--'not your shoe size...' but i like the nacho version better.

I would have to say "Fasination" from "The Truth". I don't know, he has so many terrific songs it's really hard to choose.

I was facetious saying orgy-mnd was not my name Oh O.K, I'm sorry orgimnd--I mean, origmnd. I overlooked the mistake twice. I know how you feel though, I don't like people to mispell my name either:) [This message was edited Fri Aug 2 20:43:05 PDT 2002 by Starmist7]
