"Fury" vid on BET I saw the "Fury" vid on BET LATE , late last night and I do like it. But, I wonder why the song hasnt caught any steam. Its a perfect summer song. I know some will say "Its cuz the song is crap" but thats not a legitimate reply cuz if the song is crap, that means it would do well considering what today's music listener likes.... | |

I'm tired of performance videos. It's like watching Musicology video, Call my name and now Fury. Unless it's really live, I don't like everyone fake playing, fake singing and (fake dancing if that's what you want to call it). I want to see P get creative with the videos. Te Amo Corazon was a start, but there he is again in a pseudo performance on the stage. Black Sweat was sorta interesting, but you could tell he was just going through the motions just standing there stiff like. I want to see something different. It doesn't have to be racy or too sexy or movie traileresque, but give me something other than Fury. Fury should have had a scene with a woman watching the screen and losing it to make the video somewhat relevant, instead it was just some girating and jerking I mean who isn't doing that these days? I love P, but come on with these videos already. There I said it bash away.  | |

Videos basically have had there day. Lets face it Mtv doesnt play them, MTV2 is getting just as bad, VH1 is in the same league pretty much just aimed at a slighter older audience, but still doesnt play many videos. So why make them, almost always the money comes out of the artists pocket, they almost never get played, its a waste, the art of video died a long time ago, I think i have seen about 5 Great Videos in the last 15 years. u know that's how i feel. it sounds like it was an intended single, but it doesn't sound like a hit. Te Amo Corazon sounds like a single, but Black Sweat sounds like a hit. It's a fine line u know. Don't expect heavy rotation of Fury because its a good song live if Prince rips the guitar up and the energy is flowing, but the actual song off the cd sounds akward when played amongst any other music. I wish The Word had been released with a fly futuristic video. | |

Prince really should have pushed it more publically. the video (to black sweat) is cool, but too laid back, needs something to make the younger kids say: cool! yeah you're right. Maybe artist should release a dvd of videos from their upcoming album when their cd is released, like when prince released the diamonds and pearls video collection & 3 chains of gold video when he released d&p and symbol. |
