Finally, I see all these people agree with me...

I still think it's produced rather poorly. It's way too plastic and cheap sounding. Kirky J ruined it. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I think if he made Emancipation was a 2 disk cd, it would have been a HUGE huge hit

disc 3 is the best disc of an excellent album , the CD medium has a lot to answer for though , I wonder how many people on here have never actually listened to some of Prince's songs in full because " they didnt like the sound of the first few seconds " skipped past it and have never given the whole song a chance . Just goes to show every song deserves a full listen at least once , if you dont then you might be missing out on a gem purely cos of an iffy first few seconds [Edited 6/28/06 19:18pm] Check out Chocadelica , updated with Lotusflow3r and MPLSound album lyrics April 2nd 2009 :

It took me a while to get into disc 3, cause I was only enjoying disc 2
but now I love it! Especially Sleep Around and Human Body Disc 1 Im still getting used to, aside from Somebody's Somebody and In this bed I Scream If you will, so will I

Riverpoet31 said: I mean, i have this CD-set for about 6 or 7 years, and i always skipped several songs on disc 3 (the Human Body, Da Da Da) because they didnt sound any good or interesting to me from the start.
But i have put the whole disc on repeat a few times today and hey, apart from 'slave' and the lame cover of 'The one of us' this is actually a very enjoyable CD, much better then i ever thougt about it. The techno / house-like cuts are stronger and more experimental then i thought at first, not as blatant as i made them out for first, Face Down is a cool little track, Style is deliciously cocky, My computer is a strong pop-cut. Any of you also think this is one of the better CD's Prince has released in the nineties? It took u this LONG 2 figure that out? Wow.....

I force myself to listen to every prince song when i get a new album, that why i am completly satisfied that i am upto date with every sort of style he is in to at that particular time!
I thought emancipation was a brilliant album when i first heard, well a head of its time, thats probably why its ageing well! I loved style straight away, i also think that he has spread out the best tracks over the three discs, which i think is quite good, as you have a fav or fav's from each disc! genius x
