I was actually considering giving those two a tie with Head and Party Up, respectively. I thought these two would make a good "VS" thread because they're both so raw when compared to all the other albums which have very slick sound productions....and also they conveniently have the same number of trax. ..... Dirty Mind is better in everyway.
Dirty Mind is the first true "Prince" album in my opinion. The Black Album, as much as i like it, isn't nearly as good at all. | |

WOW! I'm stunned at how many people prefer Dirty Mind over The Black Album. I'm equally stunned at how many people prefer Batman over Around The World In A Day. I thought 1985-88 era Prince was completely sacrosanct!

K I listened to them both cause I love them each one.
