Songs written and released by other artists featuring Prince guest appearances are of course not uncommon. Still, fresh info on this supposed contribution remains scarce. "Traitor" was released in 1985 by Elevation as a single here in Europe, but that's all the info there is.

According to a survey by Per Nilsen "Prince supposedly plays guitar on this track".

Prince did spend a few days here in London on February 1985. As far as I'm aware, apart from P's appearance at the BPI, the other Prince related news item from London was an interview with a singer called Ashe, who gave a brief description of a track called "Sex" (I think she meant "Love And Sex"). She also claimed credit for a line in "Oliver's House", which had also been recorded in Los Angeles a year earlier.

As for "Traitor", there's been no word from Elevation, or from anybody else for that matter. There are no records of Prince visiting Olympic Studios near Barnes in 1985 to lay down any tracks. Further enquiries regarding possible activities by Prince in other London studios around 1985 have yielded nothing. I very much doubt he had the time to record anything here in 1985.
