Black MF's in the House question

is there a studio version of this? What's the story behind it? ANyone?

Released in 1993 - i believe it was a fanclub type only release? Although there are bootleg versions of the album about.

The album was released -- albeit not at your average record stores. It was made available for purchase only at concerts or through then-operating 1-800-NEW-FUNK phone system.

Buying a new, legal copy will be tough -- they pop up on eBay but are pricey.

What looks to be a CD-R of the album is available now....

Beware...this one is missing a track called "Guess Who's Knocking". There are two versions: The original 16 track version with "Guess Who's Knocking" and another 15 track version without it.

Its cod rap of the worst kind, these guys think they are funny cos they say the word motherfucker, these guys thought they were bad, but yo they sounded like Vanilla Ice rather than Tupac. Those songs are crazy.

i remember Prince's stores were selling 'em too. The one in London had them at cut-price in a sale one time I walked in. Shoulda picked up the whole lot, the prices they go for now. mad

Good point -- I forgot that the "Guess Who's Knocking" was removed due to what I remember being a rights issue with a sample used in the song.

Fortunately, I ordered mine back in the day before that happened. Not that I listen to the CD much (if ever), but it is cool to have for freaks like me. smile
