i know a lot of fans think Prince made a huge mistake in shelving the BA and releasing Lovesexy instead...BUT...there really were no commercially viable songs on the BA that would have made a dent on the radio. Lovesexy had 2 1/2 good releases on it. Any speculation on how putting out the sinister BA would have hurt/helped his credibility as an artist at the time?

Are you asking what if he made BA without making Lovesexy? I think that's impossible. They're 2 sides of the same coin. I think his conscience was eating him up after he made BA and that's why he made Lovesexy. We'd probably have more genius drug induced albums though

i'm asking what if lovesexy was ready to go...then he had a change of heart, pulled it, the released the Black Album instead...basically, a reversal of how things ended up in the real world
