These are the Prince songs that most immediately made me sit up and take notice. No others are as cool, for me:

She's Always In My Hair - ATWIAD outtake (didn't know it was Prince til 5 listens)
Dance On - Lovesexy

Cosign on Computer Blue. First time I heard it was watching PR as a kid. I was totally .

Dance On too. I first heard it blasting on a really huge sound system. I'm pretty sure my heart was skippin' beats for several minutes after.

I'd add the 12" of Raspberry Beret. Just the first minute actually...it's captivating...like you're just waiting to hear what it's all building up to.

Yeah, my Mom took me with her to the 'wreka stow' when I was a girl and she let me pick something out. I picked up "Raspberry Beret" b/c I thought it was a funny song and a funny video (remember I was young and didn't understand the song) and I played the 'b' side. The other song I ended up hearing a lot in music mixes was "Irresistable Bitch" and always had an affinity for it but thought it was naughtly b/c he said the "b" word . Again the instruments and arrangement... Again, I'm a kid, yada yada, didnt understand it...now I do and so forth. Still a hot song...you get the point.
