Lisa, Dr Fink, Rosie, Tommy, Morris or Renato?

Which is your fave keyboardist and why?

I gotta say I do like Renato's style but my personal fave would be Morris cos he's such a nice guy, so cool!

Tommy was cute, one for the ladies to ooh and ahhh over smile but was never really given the opportunity to show if and how talented he was on the keys, all he got to do was hit samples on his purpleaxxe/goldaxxe.

Lisa was kinda cool and sexy

Fink was funk(y) smile and looked freakycool in the green surgical coat and mask!

Rosie was Rosie and has a great voice, I don't recall her style that well to be honest.

I guess I should include Boni Boyer. R.I.P. girl

My favorite is Fink.
The solo on "Head" alone scores him major points in my book.

Dr. Fink for his style.
Rosie for the whole package of style and voice and person, but I have to go for Fink

Fink was amazing, but too many times who was hiding behind effects. which is not really his fault but prince's demand at that time. I consider renato the best, he got the most soulful, laidback style of them all. and he sure can groove.

I was always a fan of Tommy Barbarella, although the first album of Prince's I ever heard was prince, so that might have something to do with it.

I must say though, even though I've only heard Renato play for 2 and 1/2 hours in my entire life, at the ONA show here in Calgary, he sure as hell did impress me. Great keyboardist no doubt, but he always struck me as weird, which is strange considering the people like Prince and his bandmates who I seem to label as 'normal'. Oh well, whatever.

Lisa. No question.

For her feel for chords, strengths as a composer and her role in bringing some of the best Prince music ever to life, with Wendy. Her strength definitely isn't in soloing -- as you might argue it was with the others -- but I'll take her knack for jazzy improvisation (Neil Finn's "Secret God," for one) and structure and chords over solos any day.

I gotta say...THE DOCTOR! He was his best keyboard player EVER! Ever hear "Head" played live? That man would Tear up that song! Plus, he was in Prince's best band (no, not the Revolution. I'm talking about the SOTT/Lovesexy band, fo')!
