Time to get rid of Emancipation

This just in...according to the website listed below, we all have to remove EMANCIPATION from our collection. The Experts have told us which 100 albums we MUST remove from our collection...who are we to disagree? They also list many other great albums by bands such as The Clash, Beastie Boys, and U2...check it out for yourself at:

I think it is really unfair to say Prince fell off in 1989. What were those number one hits from the 90s? TMBGITW, Diamonds and Pearls? Critical successes like Caos and Disorder? HAte!

FACE is an idiot. TMBGITW was not a number one hit. It peaked at #3.

Emancipation is one of the best albums... start to finish great brilliant songs and brings back so many cool memorys of that time.. i would never give up the 3 hours of love sex and liberty... cool

Freed from Warner Brothers, he made a deal with EMI to distribute his most recent release, "Emancipation." But soon after its release, EMI went under.

Nevertheless, "Emancipation" became the artist's most profitable recording since "Purple Rain," due to the royalty structure he commanded. And as he holds a news conference to kick off his "Jam Of The Year" World Tour, the suddenly accessible, newly visible artist is again a free agent. He is also an envied one.

"Every artist that comes up to me now, first of all congratulates me and they're very happy for me," he says. "And a lot of them -- they'll go unnamed -- they would like to be in the same situation."

I know--it was in 1983 and after.

What were those number one hits from the 90s? TMBGITW, Diamonds and Pearls? Critical successes like Caos and Disorder? HAte!

Chaos was a critical success? And those "no.1" hits doesnt mean that he didnt fall off or that they werent seen as tripe etc.

I agree with Revolution above. Emancipation is a great cd and it's staying in my collection. It's time to stop listening to these critics or visiting crazy websites. Use your own BRAINS. Forget what people say. Be Yourself and stop following Trends! Make Them Instead. Let's be OUR OWN PEOPLE. Emancipation, Independence...FREEDOM...
