Is Prince a virtuoso Conga player?

I think he is the best ever. I mean, listen to his first two albums!
DO you think he is a virtuoso?

He is a true master of the skin flute, at least lol
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Prince is good
but Giovanni Hidalgo he aint.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Prince can play many different styles of music on the conga . but technically , others far surpass him , e.g you havent lived until youve seen Slash playing congas during the middle 8 of welcome to the jungle razz

I have a bootleg of the original version of "Purple Rain" where he plays the whole album on differently tuned congas. The vocals are sung by Latvian one legged transsexual midgets whilst inhaling helium. Prince also plays a mean oboe d'amour on the unreleased track "Gelatine Giraffe".

I once traded this for a boot of the original version of "Dirty Mind" which was not recorded as a Prince project, but by Our Lady Of Divine Divinity Minneapolis Preschool, with guest vocals by Richard Simmons on "Head".

What a bunch of asses here.

Just because this guy used the word "virtuoso", U all have 2 act like morons?

Yeah, I know... U all would much rather discuss Prince's ring finger.

In fact, his percussion on the 1st 2 albums is tighter than most percussionists. Virtuoso? Probably not, as he'd have 2 be able to play in several time signatures. But if he were a percussion player only, he'd be able 2 stand next 2 the greats easily. By 18, he was playing parts on the bongos that could compare 2, or even waste some recognized percussion players.

Peace.

G.

Well... "7salles" brings up a valid musical observation, and because his english isn't great, U all have 2 get all stupid, instead of maybe actually discussing Prince's rythym playing on percussion, which is hardly ever discussed.

...although the Slash comment was kinda funny.
