Who is dmb? Dave Matthews Band?bored

If selling concert tickets is the criteria then add all the teenyboppers of the last 5 years too.

BAH! just wait til DMB falls out of the poop spotlight. The truly great artists continue to create music even when they are out of the pop favor. Matter-of-fact they may become even more creative.

DAMN! I sound like a fam.

How do you kick someone's ass musically?

I'd like to see DMB attempt to play Purple Rain, SOTT, Lovesexy, or even Gold, then we can talk.

Because DMB has Been fronted as this Concert Act&Pushed on the Public so Heavily.strong Payola Band IMHO.there Material is the kind of stuff that is like a Meal you are forced to Eat&Once you eat it you don't want it anymore ever excpet for a chew in bits.Dave Matthews can't make up His Mind if He wants to Be a Wanna-Be Paul Simon or wanna-Be Sting?? I like the Fiddle Player&that is it.they are Over-Produced have this Cheery Pop Element in there Work that VH1 likes&they are played way too Much. His Voice&there Music doesn't Move me at all.if You Put them&Blues Travler on in Random it would be hard for me to tell them apart.I've heard there Albums&Nothing has Moved me yet.what Can DMB tell Prince? where is there Essential Album? Single? Video? Impact? as much as I Can't stand Ja Rule he is More Interesting that they are IMHO.just for Growling.DMB truly puts me to Sleep.

Pagey

I am so sick of people thinking that the amount of ticket/album sales equals the fact that an artist is on top or not. I think Prince is on top right now with TRC and the ONA tour. He has never played better and his music is just as great (if not better) than it ever has been. The ONA show just blew me away. To even compare Dave Matthews to Prince is idiotic. They are in completely different stages in their careers. If Matthews is still around 20 years from now and is considered as influential and still is "kicking ass" than come back to me.

One more thing, I have been to a Dave Matthews show...this is totally just my opinion...but it was one of the most boring shows I have ever been to. I like jam bands (former Deadhead here) but Matthews jams don't go anywhere. I ended up getting extremely drunk and threw up on some dude's Abercrombie & Fitch hat. The only reason I know it was a A & F hat was I have never seen so much of their clothing in one place in my life.

"if u still got loot

Everybody wanna' take the stand..."

We'll see who people will STILL be talking about 10 or 15 years from now.

Plus, everything Pagey said. I'm sick of all this chart talk myself.

Yeah. Ask just about any genuine musician what they think.

"Popularity" is not a measure of "success", by my yardstick anyhow.
