I'll say this. I'm having a hard time figuring out the standards applied to the newly aggressive practice of thread locking. I can't get a handle on any type of consistency in its execution.
I had a a debate going on about the legalization / decriminalization of drugs on one thread that was locked almost immediately because it "had nothing to do with Prince", while a cursory glance at page one here shows "Pussy Eating", "Porn Movies", "Cocksucking", "Sexy Crackers", "Jews" and "Breakfast Choices". Now, I wasn't a proponent of thread censoring and i miss the GD forum terribly, but I supported the owner's decision to monitor thier site however they saw fit. However, what the f**k do any of THESE things have to do with Prince either? I don't get it, but this is what happens when you limit speech. Standards get subjective and enforcement becomes arbitrary; or so it would appear anyway. I wouldn't ask these guys to determine what's interesting for us, I would start my own topic or add a little spice to an existing one. | |
