thanks for the link. there were stickies and millions of messages about this performance at the time, However the link you provided seems to be of a slightly different audio mix compared to the usual ones going around - either that or my ears have gone improved since then! On your link I can actually hear the second guitarist soloing at the same time as Prince right at the end - in fact I can hardly hear Prince's guitar at the end as it's drowned out by the other guy! Now I watched/listened to this previously 100 times and I could not even make out that the other guitarist was playing at that moment...strange!

This performance makes the "6 degrees of separation (Prince - Version) " game really easy smile

Listening to this version is different. The version I have just highlights Prince at the end. You can hear the piano and other guitarest on this whilst Prince is playing. I like it!

I've seen this over and over again and it still gets me everytime. I remember the first time I saw it and having a grin across my face for hours afterwards! And when his bad ass walked off at the end - priceless!

It was interesting hearing the other guitarist playing with the band. Because the version I have I hear nothing but Prince. lol
pray God bless everyone. NO exceptions. pray

Yes, this is another mix entirely.

I brought this up right after the event, as I found the online version on the George Harrison site was this adulterated version. The camera angles are slightly different 2, as the part where Prince is crouching low, and shredding, is from another angle.

yep, the original live aired version is MORE glorious for Prince then this one! Luckily it's been bootlegged on dvd in perfect quality.

I love it. tears it to shreds.

The best part is the entire ensemble turns around for a dramatic finale and when they turn back, whoosh, he's gone.

Just like batman with the cmossioner, yo!
