My favorite tattoo that I have on my left wrist is a red rose growing through a butterfly. My second tattoo my husband has tattooed my lips on his neck I found out last night by watching VH1 famous couples that Tommy lee has gotten Mayte Garcia's lips tatooed on his neck. I can't speak on them but as for this couple that gift from now my husband to me wasn’t heard of at the time he got it I that it is still a cool idea regardless of whoever else has made that move. To me it complemented our commitment to each other and the loyal friendship that we have always had.

That is really cool idea that your husband has your lips tattooed on his neck. I have never heard of that.

I have a purple on my left shoulderblade that I've had for about 8 yrs. A few months ago I got an Om on my right arm that's black with blue faded into it.

I plan to get at least 2 more tattoos.

Why do people have their significant other's lips tattooed on their neck? Does it symbolize something? I find it almost like having someone's name tattooed on your body...

Whenever I see someone with their significant other's name I always think BIG Mistake! If they split up then they have to either get it covered with something else or laser removal which I understand leaves a mark or leave it which won't go down to well with any future partner.

I have the face of James Brown on my right shoulder. I used to work with him until recently and for me as a big JB fan it meant something. its not the usual ugly face that he has. its the pic that was on all the labels of the polydor releases of the early 70s, him with his afro. it also represents the times to me, the funk era. I have had it for over a year until he got to see it. one day on the road, I think it was in 98, in the catering room the guys in the band told him that I had to show him something. I didnt want to, but he got curious and pushed me a little bit too much. when he finally saw it he gave me a hug, kissed me on my cheek and said "I love you, brother". since then he was more open with me and on the road I could do whatever I want..
