When I first got 3121 i listened to it ALOT!!! After that i had a break from it, today I am listening to it again after a while and all i can say is WOW!! It hasn't lost any of it's quality, in fact listening to it without the prejudice of fan or magazine reviews, i actually like it alot more, this album flows so nicely.

Even songs like Incense and Candles, which i was indifferent to has now really grown on me. I really think this album stands up to some of princes better albums and I hope that it is a fan favourite like it is to me!!

Congratulations Prince on a really top album!!

I still play 3121 frequently in my car and this is the first P-CD since a long time that is connected 2 some great memories(already!).
Maybe bacause all those great performances and also thanx 2 The Org and HQ,because else I would have missed some of those performances.
And my wedding day off course,4ever connected 2 Prince because we used TAC.

2bad there is no tour,would have been great now he has such a good album out...

Delete TAC and We March and, man, those two albums could be his masterpieces.

3121, i don't know, i guess i still like it but i don't put

I still love this album. I'm with Spinlight, it's his best since The Gold Experience. I haven't wanted to listen to a Prince CD like this since then, though I like Musicology a lot. I love that there is a new CD from him that I can finally dance to. It's been a while since he had some dance songs and for that alone, I love 3121.

It's nice enough but I have no immediate urge to listen to it again. It'll compete with Musicology, Chaos & Disorder, & NPS for the title of least played Prince album in my collection. Let's hope the little guy actually puts a little effort into the next one.

i've avoided commenting on the album because alot orgers seem to like it...
but i'll say what i honestly think of it...
i first listened to it, monthes before its official release,
i thought it was a fake at first because the first track 3121 sounds like something from the camile era... driven by one chord,
It looks like he's going backwards rather than going forward...
Lolita, the cheezy fm synths kill it for me, the chorus is weak...
Te Amo Corazon is probably one of the only songs that show some promise, along with The Word (i aint done)
Black Sweat has no melody... nuff said...
Incense and Candle sounds like some weird pop number...
it would be more appropriat on Rave...
Love sounds like he stole that synth from a Joe Buddens Beat
Satisfied has no catchiness and sounds cheezy when compared to musicology's Call My Name
Fury again the cheezy synths... if he would stripped this one down a little might've been promising...
The Word, yah its JW propaganda but i like it..., hate the chorus tho...
Beautiful Loved & Blessed... sounds dated from the mid 90's...
Chorus is tired...
The Dance is like some kinda orgasmic tango... another song i can tolerate...
and Get on The Boat sounds so alien from the rest of the album which is mostly electronically oriented...

so 3 songs out of 12 i can tolerate...

The album sounds like prince was bored one weekend, stuck in the studio with a bunch of tofu filled twinkies and churned this swill out...

I just can't listen to it...

i just realized i can only tolerate 7 songs off this album...

but those seven songs are great classic prince...so, because of all the filler i would have to create a new category for prince's albums. not a classic (ala sott, 1999 or parade)...nor a great album (ala gold, symbol or d&p) nor crap (ala musicology, rave or nps)...

its in between the last two...good. yeah...its a good album.

Look,3121 is a solid Prince cd! Not his best but certainly not his worst.At least there are some interesting songs on 3121,Musicology was in my opinion boring. I know alot of u like Musicology but no matter how many times I try I can't get into it.

I'm sorry. The music on it just isn't cutting edge in fact it's cheesy and dated. He's stuck. Prince didn't grow as an artist. He stayed in the 80's and it shows in his song writing.

Yes...I still like to listen to it. It is sort of unique to me. I don't know why...it just has a different feel to it than Musicology which I am happy about..not that I dislike Musicology or anything I just wanted 3121 to sound different. Some of the songs are pretty good on 3121. They get stuck in my head ALOT!

3121 is a very good album - I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. It's nowhere near mindblowing, but it's a fun record with a killer 1st half.

The only truly "weak" spots are Satisfied and Get on the Boat - The latter being the weakest closer for a Prince record since... well, ever.

I am still actively listening to it, so it's a GOOD sign 4 me.

I agree with most that it's not a "bad" CD, but it's also not one of his best.

When I have it in the car, I absentmindedly skip past "Satisfied", "Beautiful, Loved & Blessed"...and even "Te Amo Corazon".

The only saving grace (for me) with "Get On The Boat" is that it's got SHEILA in it!!! Otherwise I'd skip that as well.

Still love it. Reminds me of Batman too.

In my country 3121 is considered as a good album and a comeback 4 Prince
2 the charts and radio.

After BS,Fury is voted number 9 in a magazine,so when the chart is
shown on a TV music channel he's on it.The album still at nr 13.
Yesterday they played BS once again,next week will be Fury.
I heard Fury on our national(AOR) station(I couldn't believe they play it,
they don't play that kind of music often) more than once and I already
mentioned that our rock station is playing it every day!!

3121 is still at nr 25 in the official charts.
Last week there was another great review(an old friend is back).
And radio presenters keep on saying it is a great album.

I mean,here in Belguim Prince is back!!
The 2 really commercial radio stations don't play his new songs,
but I'm not sure if that's a bad thing

Still a good album, not his best, but a good one and probably his best in about 10 years. I'm pleased but I am really listening a cross section of songs by Prince now.
