Prince wasn't responsible for those labels.

Some people used to speculate mistakenly that Prince must have been behind bootleg labels himself.

Question? Have you guys EVER checked out the Metropolis CD rom? How can a bootlegger get access to Prince's sampler synth? That is IMPOSSIBLE without Prince and or his keyboard players knowing about it.

Probably the same way that the drum samples were liberated from a studio - all it takes is the equipment to be left unattended with an enterprising person.

I have tons of samples that prince uses in songs, they are sold as part of sound libraries, and are not made by Prince. Or are you talking about musical note arrangments?

I'm talking about Prince songs broken down into sampled elements. Only prince and or his keyboard players could have access to this material.

I don't believe he did. The stuff on Metropolis could have been a part of that set.

the bootlegs of the samples were taken off a piece of music equipment bought in the Paisley garage sale or found the dumpster... according to an old thread about those samples.

T would know.
