Sept 06 = 20 Years since the Revolution brokeup, do you want a reunion?

remember that Prince said after the spilt that they should come back after 20 years and be a 100 times stronger!, well the bridges seem to have been built and there's more interaction over the last couple of years so would you welcome it or prefer to keep the memories of that golden era?.

I wouldn't want a full-on reunion and rehash of past glories. But if he could hook up with Wendy, Lisa and Sheila for a tour and possibly some new recordings, I'd be all over it. Since I missed it the first time around, this is something I'd really like to see happen.

Yes. It would be absolutely awesome to see them play together again. Not in public, obviously, but a video recording of a one-off jamming session... that would be off the scale. Then he could spend some time putting the extended Revolution back together for much of the same, and the SOTT band, then Lovesexy. I would pay all I have, wages an' all, to witness this series of events.

A Revolution renunion? NO.

I would like to see more collaborations with Wendy, Lisa, and Sheila E. I think they'd have a lot more ideas together without being constricted to a "reunion".

No. There is no need for that type of thing. Move on and grow in the process.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

During an MTV interview (late '86?) with Mark Goodman, Wendy and Lisa said that's what Prince said. But I don't remember them specifically saying "20 years."

Clear NO from me. Sometimes it's better to keep memories as memories - they are the only paradise no one can take away from you. Bringing things back in reality only makes you realize how wrong you were on certain things. A Revolution reunion would only make people realize that Brownmark and Bobby actually were not that good (compared to later Prince band members like Bland/Thompson or Blackwell/Smith).

I just want Roadhouse Garden to be released the way the girls would have done it. Save the reunions.

I'd have to say YES. I mean, Roadhouse Garden is pretty much a done deal. Just get the girls in there for some backing vox and release it. I don't see a full-fledged world tour but few hit-and-run shows around the country would make for some great promotion.

I'm not particularly interested in a full band reunion.

Recording with W&L (and say maybe Eric and Fink too) could be interesting, and I'd definately be up for releasing of old unreleased music from the era (as long as it hadn't been tootled around with)...

That was always one thing that worried me about Roadhouse Garden - A lot of people are up for seeing it released, but I'd rather see a more expansive chronological release, as opposed to one that was a hodge-potch of re-tootled tracks slapped into a 12 (or so) track album.

Anything's better than nothing I suppose, but like some of the stuff on Crystal Ball, I'd still end up prefering the versions (and editing) of the versions on the bootlegs, regardless of less than perfect quality.

Let's get this straight - The Revolution didn't break up. Brown Mark, Wendy and Lisa left and Prince fired Bobby Z. The end.

No, I don't want a reunion. It's tired. Let bygones be bygones. Prince ain't ever gonna do "Lovesexy" like he did on Sendai '88 and we ain't ever gonna get another Purple Rain. Let it fucking die, ya'll. Seriously.

EDIT: For the REALness, let it STAY dead is what I meant.
