A Poem for Prince: "The Muse of the Park"

The Muse of the Park
by Summatra

The Strange Magician
makes constant Music

though the Spotlight's turned away

He's Kind and Mean
to the Faithful Few

who Love Him
anyway

Look, but don't Touch
as I Whisper your ear

and Caress
Depths of your Brain
with my Song

Don't Leave Me
I Need You
Come In
I Will Feed You

Till Night turns Daylight, long
A Bubble Bath with UR Pants On is Better Than No Bubble Bath at All

There once was a singer named Prince
He sat all day eating mince
Then mad cow disease got him
The illness it fought him
Till all he could do
In the studio all-day was hum
The tune of the song
Animal Kingdom

Actually, that last line's not bad: "Till Night Turns Daylight Long" Yeah, I remember some of those long days when I didn't get any sleep from the night before. horny

Once upon a time
in a land called paisley park
Lived a little Prince
with a friend named Billy Spark

This Kindom was well protected
by what He thought was light
Larry and Tina well pretendin
2 know the wrong from right...

In this palace there was no space 4 green
the blues was funky, and rock&roll blue...
a purple Guitar, 2 white bass and a black keyboard
a couple of body guards always runnin around
and of course instruments well tuned by the crew...

whispers of a so called digital garden
floating in the air
a house and a so called wife,
he'd swear life couldn't B better

Outside the kindom,
in the Prince.org neverland,
Lived a handful of followers,
waiting 4 the dawn...

Wishing 4 better music,
maybe inspiration 2
Eventhough what they could hear wasn't so bad,
comin from U know who...

One said, maybe it's all bout perspective,
why should one do this,
When one could do so much better...
Y make them miss
What U once used 2 master...

Once upon a time in a land called Paisley park...

Oh well... Never say never...
